Ohmygoodness! Two Meridith dates in five days!?!?

Oh! I love this girl and her contagious spirit of excitement!!! She can brighten anyone and everyone's day which is just fantastic!!!

aren't her doodles amazing!?! I thought it'd be good to let her write my name on my box, and boy was I right!! :)

I am SO looking forward to seeing all the good that is to come in this sweet girls' life!!!

Round Two of repairs to Peeves...

Welp...it's a good thing I have my Daddy! We worked "together" to fix the brake light on the back of this car...and after 3 trips to two different stores, everything glows appropriately on the car! (at least on the outside)

or surprise to anyone.

Bess and I had to opportunity to attend Miss Bixby with one of my good friends from school. We had a fabulous time cheering on the girls that we knew in the "scholarship pageant" and witnessing the reality that is a true beauty pageant! It was a great show and we had a great time laughing together! (not at the girls!! But at situational humor...why are so many Miss Congeniality quotes racing through my head right now?)

It's too bad we didn't win that bike! ;)

Welcome to Oklahoma! Where a day can consist of cold temperatures in the morning, wind that sweeps down the plains, warm and slightly sunny mid-mornings, warmer and cloudy afternoons, a monsoon right when school gets out, sun and wind on the drive to Tulsa Ballet, and a gorgeous sunset as the day comes to a close.

Oh the monsoon? yeah...good going Emma with your Toms!

I walked all the way out to my car (yes...WALKED) in the storm through rivers flooding the sidewalks! By the time I made it to my car, I pretty much looked like I had taken a shower in my clothes....

Bess got picked up by yours truly with curb service.

I however seriously LOVE the rain. So it was awesome!!!

SO SO SO thankful for sweet Meridith!!! We went to go hear Kathryn Stockett (author of The Help) speak at the PAC with a thousand old ladies...and a couple juniors from Bixby who were there to get extra credit for English. ;) But it was really fun!! Kathryn Stockett was so incredibly down to earth and personal during her segment of the night! She walked out onto the stage and said, "Oh sh--! There's more people here than I was expecting!"...and the mood had been set for the rest of her speech! She was great!

I am so thankful that I had Meridith with me to help me navigate downtown Tulsa in the dark! If it hadn't been for her...I could quite possibly still be trying to find the one way street back to the interstate towards Bixby! (a hyperbole...but with her, we didn't end up in the bad part of town! GO MERIDITH!!)

After we got out of the maze of one way streets, she introduced me to this cute little French place on Cherry Street. What is a Thursday night girls outing without dessert!?!

My mom is the greatest!!! I walked into my room after school and look what was hanging on my closet door!!!

It's all altered and awesome and ready for PROM!!! No more baggy top! No more dragging on the floor due to my un-model like height! I've decided that it's my princess dress. If I were a princess I would wear gowns all the time, it would be the norm...so it's totally ok that I did some of my homework in it...right?

Oh the joys of buying used cars. (Thank you Dave Ramsey...)

I am so thankful to have such an awesome Dad who can fix everything!!! Now Peeves is all fixed up and happy with a brand new battery ;)

AND the opportunity presented itself to have the first steps of "car class"... I will not be a helpless princess when I'm on my own! I will eventually know how to fix the little things (or at least know what to do when something bad happens to a car...)

Last day of Spring Break...so lets spend the ENTIRE day getting Bess caught up on Once Upon A Time...

Today is the day to celebrate my wonderful Daddy! (yes his birthday was yesterday...but it's kinda hard to celebrate while driving the 13 hours back to Bixby)

I am so so so thankful to have such a wonderful dad in my life. I love you so much Daddy!!!

If only we all could eat normally with people staring at and taking pictures of us like this little girl can. I love her expressions and her little voice that greets you when you walk into the room (she says "hi" or "hey" everytime someone walks in or if she forgot that you were sitting next to her and she suddenly sees you for the "first time") (it's adorable!)

Milestone Day!!! Today was Camille's first time to come to the Mayfield's Visitor Center with Grantch (well...ever...) and Bess and me. It was a valiant effort but, unfortunately, Camille decided that it would be more fun to run away to the gift shop instead of eating ice cream...

Oh well...she's only one... ;)

We're going to have to work on this whole "Camille isn't into sweets" situation...she's missing out on deliciousness with our awesome Grantch!

Round Two of exploring Bixby and Jenks with this SUUUPER lady! AND I saw Jenks High School for the first time ever...(which is pathetic considering we've been here for 15 months...but whatever...) AND we were introduced to Parks and Recreation (which we laughed a great deal over...) AND we watched an Oklahoma sunset while stopped at a stop sign at the entrance of a neighborhood (not ours)...but we had to keep pulling out and turning around only to position ourselves in the same spot so that Mrs Della could see a proper Oklahoma sunset (which did live up to expectation...it was GORGEOUS!!!)

Welcome to Oklahoma where it can snow in the morning and produce an amazing sunset in the evening. ;)

YAY!!!! Mrs Della has finally visited the Blue Whale!!! What a fabulous day visiting Route 66 paraphernalia all day with the fabulous Mrs Della. I loved hearing these friends laugh while doing touristy stuff together!

It's the first day of Spring Break!!! So like normal for this family we spend this Friday night at the ballet. It was so SO good! (cliche and stupid sounding but whatever...)

Today is a very special day! On this day 16 years ago this wonderful, beautiful, funny, smart, talented, awesome little girl changed my life forever. I became a big sister and I can't imagine my life without her. We have been attached at the hip from day one...even if that meant my bossing her around and her just mimicking my obnoxiousness that was Emma. I am so thankful to have her in my life. Today is a very special day. Let's celebrate the sweetness that is sixteen with baby Bess.

Today was Harry Potter day. At least for me and Bess it was.

I started reading all of the books again a couple of weeks ago, but then school got in the way so I couldn't indulge in them as quickly as some other people that I know could.

I'm halfway through the third book now...but Bess and I decided that it would be a good sister afternoon to watch movies numbers 2 and 3 together. It was a great plan ;) These movies really are awesome :)

Not to mention we didn't have school today due to the weather! (who doesn't love ANOTHER snow day!?!)

Happy March! Let's welcome in the month that gives birth to spring with a nice snow/ice day. Yes, that sounds like a plan!

It really did snow/ice all day long! A definitely wonderful day to stay cooped up inside in one's pajamas embracing the cold by never stepping a foot outside.

Yes, I'll enjoy the snow from the comfort of my own home thank you.
