Welcome to Tulsa Ballet! Let me know if I can help you find anything :)

July 20

Yes. I'm still obsessing over my Italian adventure because I can't believe that it actually happened. It's like it was some crazy dream...

But it did happen! So in turn, I'm spending the day working on my souvenir from the trip :)

July 19

Did you know that Chick Fil A delivers?

...to Tulsa Ballet's summer intensive housing students that is...

It's movie night at the Trew's house for the Pointe to the Future girls!

I love laughing.
It's as simple as that.
But not just little giggles here and there,
I love laughing so hard that my stomach hurts.
I really love spending time with these awesome people.

I also got to talk to Bess today...I guess that was pretty awesome too. ;)

July 15

It's been exactly two weeks since I last saw Bess.

Two weeks down and three to go.

So...I may or may not have just sat in her room for a little while...

July 12

Home again, sweet home again!!

It was a truly amazing trip but it is oh so good to be home again!

However...I can't even believe that this trip actually happened!!! DID it actually happen!?!

July 11

It's so fantastic to be back in America where water is easily accessible and cheap, food is full of fattening chemicals and preservatives, and going to the bathroom doesn't cost a thing!

Oh how I love sweet time catching up with my Maryland people! What a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience the past 13 days have been living life and experiencing life with my wicked fabulous best friend!

July 10

Ciao Italia!!

Until we meet again!

July 9

When in Roma! Our group of 44 from our tour along with 12 million other tourists decided to visit all of Rome today at the same time. By now we're used to the crowds but we're also running out of steam...

But holy cow!!

How are the sights in Rome even real!?! How is it possible that these amazing places have stood the test of time!?! Is this real life!?!

Rome in a day
by day
and by night

Seriously in love with this city and this country and the night shots that I've been able to get over the past 8 days.

July 8

Capri.

Words can not express or even begin to describe the immense beauty that this island possesses.

Pictures can't even capture the amount of awe one experiences while soaking in this island.

This celebrity infested island is so elite and expensive that tourists have to be off the island by 5 unless they are staying in a hotel physically on the island.

If ever there is a correct way to use the word "awesome" now is that time!

July 7

I can not even begin to comprehend how old this city is. It's so hard to wrap my mind around everything that happened here 3,000 years ago...it was real...and not just a story!

Pompeii was incredible! Hot and crowded, but incredible! They have been uncovering this lost city since the 18th century and it is still an active archaeological site today. In fact the volcano is still very active today as well. It's not a matter of if it will erupt again, but a matter of when it will erupt again, and yet, despite this city that was completely destroyed some 3,000 years ago...there are millions of people living in the red zone of Mount Vesuvius.

Why? Because they're crazy.

We spent the evening exploring yet another city tucked into a mountain but this time right on the water!

WOAH Sorrento is gorgeous!!

July 6

I absolutely LOVED exploring Assisi despite the heat and steep climbs throughout the entire city. This little tan city tucked up on the mountain was INCREDIBLE!!!

And the night view from our hotel was equally AMAZING!!!
My all time favorite part of every day was exploring the cities at night when we weren't stuck with the big group and didn't have to worry about everyone or the heat or the tourists everywhere.

AHHH!!!
I can't get over the beauty in this country!

July 5

And the tour goes on...

I realized today that I know nothing about Italian history...as in...I didn't know that Pisa was a little city and wasn't just a tower but actually a church, a baptistry, and the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. We saw the actual chandelier that Galileo watched to derive the formula/equation for the pendulum (or something along those lines...)

And of course we had to take tourist pictures holding up the tower! But I really loved looking around and seeing all the tourists posing and in no way were they close to touching the tower from my angle...oh tourists!!!

July 4

Lets take a second to take in this amazing piece of architecture.

We walked into the "city center" of Florence and BOOM this is what we see.

Okay. Italy is amazing.

And while we had seven freaking hours of free time before our tour of the city, we did find free wifi and SUPER expensive gelato!

July 3

Day Two:

Being EXTREME tourists in Venice! What makes Italian pigeons different from New York pigeons...I have no idea...but we were most definitely tourists and most definitely Americans!

And because this place was so beautiful I felt it warranted two pictures...

The view from our gondola ride was just too stereotypically Italian, how could I not include it on my 365!?!

July 2

Greetings from Milan!!!

Not the most exciting and Italian day due to going on probably 29 hours of no sleep and severe jet lag (which by the way is very real. very. real.) I am however very excited to begin our adventures tomorrow after getting some actual sleep in an actual bed.

OHMYGOSH WE'RE IN ITALY!!!

July 1

Technically today was "Day 1" of our Italian adventure...but it was really just a long travel day of rushing and waiting. But ohmygosh this is actually happening!!! We're going to Italy...RIGHT NOW!

Reagan National Airport in DC to Newark International in New Jersey to Milan!!!

Is this real life???
