December 31

Dear 2014,

365 days ago I had no idea what this year would hold. None. Like at all.

This time last year I was watching movies and eating chocolate all night long with my cousins. I was just a semi-quiet awkward seventeen year old Junior in high school. I liked to dwell in the negatives and thrived in the "what ifs" of life. Little did I know how much everything would change in a year (cliché, I know...hang with me).

I decided to do the 365 photo a day to help find and focus on the positive events and define something to be thankful for each and every day for an entire year. For an entire year I've searched for something to be grateful for or something worth marking and saving as an important event or thought to look back on and smile as I relive 2014 through this blog.

As a matter of fact I've taken the time and looked back through the entire year, and wow what a year it has been (cliché again...I know).  It's amazing some of the experiences and people that have crossed my path in a mere 365 days. I mean, come on, I not only flew by myself but I went to Italy, freaking Italy, with one of my very best friends and we most definitely had the trip of a lifetime--I couldn't imagine sharing those memories with anyone else in the world. I became extremely and abnormally close with the most diverse group of personalities brought together by the random chance of being in the same French class and could not imagine my life at Bixby without any one of them. Sweet sweet family time with all the Trews this summer and pretty much any and every time the Oklahoma Trews are in Tennessee. Sweet family and baby time when the Griffith clan gets together both in Tennessee and Kentucky. When I think back on 2014 I want to remember all the laughter and fun that was had, all the people I laughed with (which is a lot of people...if we've ever laughed, like really hardcore gut wrenching laughed together before I am talking about you--and am so thankful for YOU), and all the adventures big and small and all the laughter that came from them.

Laughter.
It's my go to answer for everything philosophical or profound (because you know... I'm so philosophical and profound...). How do you make friends when you're a shy and awkward introvert? Laughter. What's the best form of medicine for a broken heart? Laughter. What's the meaning of life? Laughter. You get the idea. The way to make an impression on my life is most definately through laughter. So thank you for the laughs 2014!

This New Year's Eve I'm reminded so much of New Year's Eve last year except that the end of 2014 is nothing like the end of 2013. I'm about to go and watch movies all night long with my cousins and stuff ourselves with ice cream (if there's any left by the time I finish this post and get next door) just like last year, but as this year comes to an end I am constantly reminded of all the joy I have to be thankful for that has become extremely apparent in this past year. I am so glad I took the time to keep up with this blog for this year because of all the years, this one was for the books...or in this case the blog. ;)

Thank you 2014.

Love always,
Emma

December 30

Oh how I love this Trew family time!
One of my absolute favorite things in the world is laughing (like deep, real, genuine laughing very loudly) with these people.

December 29

There is no age requirement for the need to make sure you look good in all pictures.

December 28

I agree Camille,

Aunt Laurie does have the BEST reading voice. Good pick in your reading partner this evening!

December 27

Celebrating Christmas all over again is SO much fun with this little girl!!!

December 26

After a long and cramped 12 hours in the car this little girl right here could not have been more fun and exciting to see! It has definitely been too long since I've gotten to love and laugh with my little girl!!! And boy she's a cute little stinker if ever there was one!!!

December 25

Merry Christmas!!!

I have oh so much to be thankful for this year and am incredibly blessed by all the people in my life that make each and every day wonderful!

December 24

Christmas Eve is here!!!
I am thankful for each and every one of you!!!

December 23

I am so incredibly thankful that I have these people in my life thanks to French class last year. I could not pick out a more diverse group of people to make up one of the best groups of people ever and I love it. I'm so glad to have had the evening to hear about college life and catch up on everyone's last four months of life. Thank you all for the laughs!

Joyeux Noël!

December 22

The Party Planning Committee takes Reasor's!
I love spending the day with these girls and getting everything ready for the reunion TOMORROW!!!
It's almost Christmas!!!

December 21

Why not have a little fun with the mascot heads when it's the last show of the season!?!
After all, it was my night to be a character out in the lobby!

December 20

Dinner dates in between shows are wonderful with these people. I guess they're kind of great.

December 19

And so the second weekend of Nutcracker performances has begun! You see that mouse character? Yeah...I know her ;)

December 18

What to do when you don't have to be at school until 10:45? I'd recommend spending the morning making bacon filled pancakes and laughing with an awesome person. Yeah...that's how I'd spend that morning if I were you ;)

Also, it's awesome when you have zero finals to have to take on the first day of finals.
Being a senior is awesome.

December 17

YAY for super fun and exciting emails!!!

December 16

My school's finals are way cooler than your school's finals.

December 15

It's been a wonderful couple of months in Storybrooke!

December 14

Why hello there empty PAC!
Round two of merchandise selling (this time in the lobby) was actually insane.
SO glad I get to share this experience with this lady!

December 13

My dad and I make a very determined team when it comes to finishing puzzles...and it always takes longer than one would expect. BUT I love spending time with him in the evenings :)

December 12

I have a new appreciation for those who work the merchandise tables at any and all large events. It's definitely an experience!

December 11

It's almost time for Nutcracker to begin! Let the packing up of Tulsa Ballet merchandise from
 Leaps & Grounds commence!

December 10

Is it bad that helping out with the 3 and 4 year old ballet class actually felt like a slight workout?
Cute little ballerinas are my favorite!
But yes...this is a picture of my feet and not little ballerinas.
Why?
Because of course I didn't take a picture of little ballerina feet...
Way to go...

December 9

Driving home in the dark isn't so terrible at Christmastime :)

December 8

Math homework isn't the most fun thing in the world, but doing it with Bess makes it much more exciting!

December 7

Is it really Christmas time if there aren't lights strung in your bedroom?

December 6

It's always a joy to watch Bess grace the stage!!!
And I absolutely LOVE laughing with these two...it's one of my favorite things ever.
They just make my night wonderful because a little extroversion is never a bad thing!

December 5

SO happy little miss Rosie could surprise us for a quick visit this evening!
She has a pretty cool Aunt who takes her on adventures to the Trew household :)

December 4

We may have had a little too much fun getting in the Christmas spirit at Tulsa Ballet tonight...and it was fabulous!

December 3

I absolutely adore getting love notes from my sister. She's the greatest!

December 2

Oh what fun it is to have Erin spend the evening preparing for the Christmasfication of Leaps & Grounds!!
