November 10

This whole semester has been about finding our worth in Jesus and not in what the world wants us to believe. Tonight at Worthy Now (the annual women's event at Lee talking about self worth) they said a lot that really stuck with me. We are not "worthy when"... (something happens or you accomplish something "great") but we are worthy right now despite our pasts and despite our future. We are often our own biggest enemies, we are the hardest on ourselves and are far too quick to believe the lies that are running through our heads that are constantly telling us that we are not worthy of love or attention and lead very insignificant lives.

However, they said that "we are not disqualified until we disqualify ourselves." I found that really eye opening because holy smokes we will never be left behind or disqualified from life by God because we were made for a reason and were given life to fulfill a specific purpose that is vitally important.

We are worthy NOW and even though it can be very difficult to see, we are fearfully and wonderfully made and there is a purpose for being where we are right now in life.
