Ok.
Guess who went to her first Bixby sporting event tonight! That's right. This girl! I'm glad that Toni got me to come with her to tonight's blackout game because it was a lot more fun than I had worked high school games up in my head. We sat in the student section (wow...Bixby students are very good at cheering and chanting and clapping) (that stupid sounding...but I went with the parallel structure with all words starting with C just for the heck of it) (again...my nerdy and quirky-ness showing through) (wow...that was an excessive amount of side noted parentheses)
ANYWAY
We sat in the student section directly under the vent so we had no trouble with the room getting too hot as it continued to fill with more and more avid Bixby fans. There was a great turnout for tonight's blackout game against Jenks (our rival school) and it was a really good game. I actually followed most of the game and only had to ask a few questions. I even got into cheering with everyone and participating in the student section hand gestures (it was a triangle-like sign that would swoosh up and open every time a basket was made) for every time we had a foul shot (is that right? a foul shot?). AND we won!!!! Go Bixby!!!
I brought my camera with me and even went over to the upper side area of the stands to get a good picture of the day but alas, I went with my phone picture to capture the essence that is the Bixby student section. A little side note...I also effectively mastered the art of taking a panorama picture with my phone at this very moment!
